Welcome to what3trees.org, a platform dedicated to reforestation and transparent environmental impact. By sponsoring a tree through our site, you directly support sustainable development initiatives and receive a geolocated view of your contribution using What3Words and Google Maps.
We aim to address global reforestation challenges with accountability. Every tree sponsored through What3Trees is part of a verified ecological effort along the Kenyan coast near Malindi, where we plant primarily coconut trees due to their environmental and economic value. Sponsors receive:
To sponsor a tree, you must create an account and provide your first name, last name, email, and password. You are responsible for the security of your account. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that are inactive, abusive, or fraudulent.
Each tree sponsorship is €25. This includes seedling procurement, irrigation, care, and digital geolocation delivery. Our operations are long-term: we commit to maintaining trees for 5–6 years until they are self-sustaining.
Refund Policy: All sponsorships are final and non-refundable. Once a tree is assigned, geolocation data is generated and resources are allocated toward planting and maintenance.
We provide estimates of environmental benefits (e.g., CO₂ absorption) based on scientific studies and observed data. However, actual environmental impact may vary due to location, weather, and ecological factors.
To promote transparency, we use third-party services such as:
